GETTING STARTED
NASA-funded modelers can take advantage of state-of-the-art computing
facilities and services at either the NASA
Advanced Supercomputing (NAS) facility at Ames Research Center,
Mofffett FIeld, California, or the NASA
Center for Computational Sciences (NCCS) at Goddard Space Flight
Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Both provide
supercomputing resources and services to the scientific
community through NASA's High-End
Computing (HEC) Program
and are valuable resources for scientific and engineering
pursuits.
Requesting Computing Time
To become a user, you (or your PI) must first complete a request
for computing time. Eligibility requirements and the request
and approval processes for awarding computer hours can be
found on the HEC web site.

Getting Accounts
Once your request for computing time is approved, you need
an account to access the HEC systems. Whether you are a Principal Investigator
or an associated user, here's the process for getting an account on
systems based at NASA's two HEC facilities: NAS and NCCS.
